1 MayWe have had a fresh delivery of Bidons for the Prompt Cycle Culture shop for the summer of 2016.
The new design uses the Elite custom bottle (as used by team sky) and display Our Alpe d’Huez logo with our two blue stripes.
Retail price is 10 euros and they are currently only available to buy instore.

30 AprWe are always improving our bikes here at Prompt Cycle Culture. As well as all our bikes running 11 speed shimano Ultegra last year we upgraded a selection of our bikes to run with hydraulic disk brakes. Phil the co owner has just built the next generation of Prompt D211 disc that now includes shimano electronic shifting. He will be testing this out over 2016 with a view to rolling Shimano Di2 hire bikes out in 2017.

Our hire bikes are definitely faster than the Alpe d’Huez bikes.. Andrew in March having successfully conquered Alpe d’Huez. Andrew stayed with More Than 21 Bends on a bed and breakfast basis in Bourg d’Oisans and had two glorious days of cycling in the immediate area.

La Marmotte 2016 goes online for registration on Monday 9th November at noon.
Since 1983 this epic 178 km tour with over 5,000 metres of climbing has been routed around our area of the French Alps.
Every cyclist knows about La Marmotte and its illustrious climbs, including the Col du Glandon, Telegraphe, Galibier and a finish Alpe d’Huez, which is why the Marmotte attracts 7,000 avid cyclists every year.
In 2015 the organisation was forced to change the course following the collapse at the Tunnel du Chambon but we are advised that for 2016 the event is back to its traditional route including the Galibier once more.
As ever, spots for this race are in demand, so be quick to grab your race number for the Marmotte, or join More Than 21 Bends on one of their trips, include an entry and also reduced priced Bike Hire.

8 JunLast week was Alpe d’Huzes week here in Bourg d’Oisans where the Dutch ride up Alpe d’Huez up to 6 times in one day raising money for cancer research.
Our Alpe d’Huzes bike hire is always very busy and here is Johan at the top after competing one of his climbs
