Its that time of year again when we sell off some of our ex rental hire bikes.

Full Carbon Shimano Ultegra 11 Speed Battaglin Faster road bikes available for the price of 800 Euros per bike. Bikes are available in sizes 50cm (Small) / 55cm (Large) and 58cm (Extra Large).

Wilier GTR Carbon Road Bike (2017)

Full carbon Shimano Ultegra 11 Speed Wilier GTR road bikes available from 900 euros to 1000 Euros. Bikes are available in sizes 53cm (Medium) / 55cm (Large) / 58cm (Extra Large)

One last Shimano Ultegra 11 Speed PROMPT D211 Road bike is also available in size Large (56CM) This is a lightweight carbon bike and is available for 900 Euros.

Shipping Costs

We can ship pretty much anywhere in the world for an additional fee please contact us for more information or you can come into the store and pick up yourself.

Additional Information

Bikes are second hand and have cosmetic marks but have been fully maintained by us. Bikes do not come with pedals or bottle cages. Please allow 14 days for us to ship the bike and up to 28 days for you to receive it. All rear cassettes are 11-34 tooth with a compact chainset up front. Photos are non contractual and the colour of the frame may be different.

Do you want a frame only ?

Do you have a shed load of old parts and are you thinking of building up a bike ?. We can sale you the frame and fork only for 300 Euros plus shipping, we also have a selection of second hand and new parts that we can include for your build. Please contact us for more info.

Ex Rental Carbon Road Bikes Sale

As per usual we are selling off some of our older hire bikes and have the following left in stock. All bikes are full carbon fork and frame and may have minor marks on them from general use. We use protective tape on the bikes during the rental so once removed they are good clean bikes. All bikes come with a Compact chainset 50-34 and also an 11 speed cassette with gear ratios of 11-32.

We have had some freaky weather here in the Oisans this May – going from 35 degrees centigrade to this over a space of a couple of days.

This photo was taken near Villard Reculas on the way to Alpe d’Huez by Michael. They certainly made the best of their stay here in Bourg d’Oisans despite the unusual bad weather for May.

Prompt D927 Steel Frame

I’ve just finished the build of my steel Prompt D927. The bike was finished with a Dura Ace 7800 groupset and Deda components. 

The frame rides superbly.  The ride is much less harsh than carbon and thus is suited to longer rides. I plan to take the bike round Italy and Spain next spring.

The added weight off the bike is not noticable perhaps due to the increased comfort. I even managed to set a pb up Villard Reculas on its maiden voyage.  The frame is responsive out of the saddle and very solid going downhill.  Having ridden the bike a few times, I’m starting to wonder what all the hype is about carbon!

this custom painted white D211. This bike usually lives in the New Forest in Hampshire England but was over here in France for a week of cycling with More Than 21 Bends

PROMPT D211 Photo Competition 2014 Number 4 – Sarenne and La Berarde for your 65th birthday

Father and son from Holland were with us last week and hired a couple of bikes. They tackled Alpe d’Huez, Col de Sarenne and also the road out to La Berarde. Apparently the father ( a keen cyclist) at 65 comfortably beat his son up all the climbs in the area.

The frame has been hand painted and finished here in Bourg d’Oisans. This frame is destined to be a hire bike for 2014 and will be built up with shimano ultregra 11 speed

A bit late for the 2013 PROMPT D211 Photo competition….

Phil R from Australia sent us this photo with the following email

“You may not remember us but myself and 4 mates hired your very comfortable Prompt bikes in early June this year. We had the best time climbing the Alp d’Huez, Col de Sarenne, Notre Dame, and all the other great rides in the area. The experience had during those 9 days made  a long time dream of mine come true and hopefully we’ll be back to hire your bikes again soon.

Attached is one of many photos we took during the 9 days but it was the most satisfying  of all our rides, climbing up the “backside” of Alp d’ Huez via Col de Sarenne. We tell people back in Australia we did it the hard way, not like the pros in Le Tour!  This was the hardest cycling achievement I have had and at 65 years old, can’t leave it too long if I want to eclipse that!

Anyway, a great experience and hopefully we can all do it again in the not too distant future. Thanks for your help with the bikes.”

Photos for our PROMPT D211 photo competetion – seven – Col de L’Epine

Father and son from South Africa seen here at the top of the Col de L’Epine. This is a new col to us here at PROMPT and not one that we have ridden before. The climb rises above Chambery  to 987 metres above sea level over a distance of 8km with an average gradient of 7 percent. One for next year perhaps ?

If you hired or bought a bike from us in 2013 we are after your photos. The more unusual the better. We will be choosing one photo at the end of December and that lucky person will receive one of our exclusive Alpe d’Huez Jersey. Simply attach your photo to an email and send it in to us.
