Photos for our PROMPT D211 photo competetion – five – Norwegians in the Oisans

2 Dec

Arne brought a big group a long in June 2013 to tackle some of the big cols in the area including Col de La Croix de Fer, Glandon, Galibier and of course Alpe d’Huez

He sent in a large selection of photos. They can be seen here >>

Our two favourites are the following.

If you hired or bought a bike from us in 2013 we are after your photos. The more unusual the better. We will be choosing one photo at the end of December and that lucky person will receive one of our exclusive Alpe d’Huez Jersey. Simply attach your photo to an email and send it in to us.

Check out all the photos currently entered here >>

Clients on PROMPT d211’s

We love getting photos from our clients with their PROMPT d211 Hire bikes. Father and Son from South Africa hired bikes from us last year to ride as many cols as possible. They liked the bikes so much they ended up buying a couple of custom finished frames from us. On top of this they are back again this year and are hiring 2 more bikes from us.

Ella and I beat the rain this morning and rode out to Allemont on the new PROMPT D926 road hire bikes. We have 3 of these full carbon road bikes for summer 2013 in sizes 50, 54 and a gigantic 60 cm frames. The frames boast full integrated cable routing and provide a similar super smooth ride to our D211 road bike.As is the tradition here the D926 is named after a local climb or road. In this case it is the beautiful Col de la Croix de Fer.

Eight PROMPT D211s on the Col de la Croix de Fer

September cycle hire in Bourg d’Oisans is a busy affair. Last Thursday on a typically beautiful sunny early autumn day we had 8 hire bikes rented out and all making their way up on to the Col de la Croix de Fer. I passed a few while taking our cycling group up and also took a few photos of the others.
